At home near the sea.
Ever-focused on beauty and the art of creation;
found in the moments that leave me breathless and in awe. Endlessly inspired by history, design, art, texture, and romance.

Kellie Ryan

Pulling from experiences from living in Metro New York and New Orleans,
I enjoy designing timeless, sophisticated soirees for young professionals.

Having a deep appreciation for organization and design process which is necessary to execute a successful event, I strive to capture your very distinct wedding vision.

My professional experiences span across the hospitality industry including apprenticing at two, Forbes Five Star Luxury Resorts, which profoundly influenced the conception of Kellie Ryan Designs. Possessing a diversified background, I am able to seamlessly bring all the elements of an event together as if second nature.

I am known to throw together a charcuterie board at the drop of a hat. My hips hate me for it.

I am known to cackle.
Baby giggles are contagious and are the best sound ever.

I love my wine.
Box, bottle, aged or 2018.
I am not a wine snob.

Family is everything. Missing from this photo is Maggie, our Golden. We call her Queen.

There is just something about the salt air breeze around twilight that restores the soul.

My Must Haves

“Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly. Really, truly find the strongest, happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with. Someone who speaks highly of you. Someone you can laugh with. The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort.
The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laughs. Wit is important.
Life is too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool with them. Make sure they are somebody who lets you cry, too.
Despair will come. Find someone that you want to be there with you through those times.
Most importantly, marry the one that makes passion, love, and madness combine and course through you.
A love that will never dilute - even when the waters get deep, and dark.”

Favorite Love Quote

When I'm not elbows deep planning your soiree,
I can be found in my kitchen, dancing to Beyonce with my Daughter. Our favorite things to cook include pasta and homemade pizzas.

I am inspired by historical events and the buried stories of the past. My favorite cities to explore are Charleston and New Orleans.
Fun fact: I majored in History at Tulane.

in my spare time

I love a sun-soaked day, preferably near the sea. You can find me with a glass of chardonnay in one hand  and a hardback book in the other.
